poor kid. he's got to contend with a shoulder hoper and donkey on the inside.....typical day surfing in so-Cal. Don't you love it! To the dude turtling.....GET OUT THE WATER! come on! it's only 3'-ish mush wave and it's not like your riding a 9'+ longboard. Absolute no reason to turtle. Duck dive like a real man.

Socialism is BS

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071102/wl_nm/venezuela_referendum_dc

"CARACAS (Reuters) - Congress passed President Hugo Chavez's proposal to scrap presidential term limits on Friday in a package of constitutional changes that Venezuelans are likely to approve in a referendum next month.

Pro-Chavez lawmakers, who dominate the legislature, shouted "yes, yes," and chanted the president's political slogan "Fatherland, socialism or death" in approving the measures."

if it walks like a dictatorship, talks like a dictatorship, then it's a dictatorship. when has a socialist government worked on this earth? Russia? Nope! Cuba? Nope! all the ultra liberal hollywood types need to wake the f*ck up. Or maybe McCarthy was right? I just feel sorry for the people of Venezuela.

end of political rant.

FINALLY....some real science research!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071101/ap_on_he_me/wine_test

"Chemists working with NASA-funded technology designed to find life on Mars have created a device they say can easily detect chemicals that many scientists believe can turn wine and other beloved indulgences into ingredients for agony."

now that's truly our tax $'s spent on serious projects all of man kind can benefit from!

Next generation stoke

my nephew and niece (6 and 8 respectively) surfing in the annual menehune contest. they're ripping compared to probably the majority of so-cal's middle life crisis/ex-golfer surf population. pretty soon they'll be better than my old sorry self.
