Mr Tom Jones came to light due to his efforts to standup paddle the entire length of California

While this is a significant endeavour and he's supposedly doing it for charity, it is oddly too similar to another group of non-"Extreme" guys who have been planning the same paddle (not standup)

When asked by another blogger (http://instantboulderkit.blogspot.com/) about he's plans and how they compare, Mr. Jones offers little explanation and/or assistance. Guess Tim Kessler's training regiment isn't "Extreme" enough for Mr. Jones? What I believe Mr. Jones fails to realize is that a paddle of this magintude will require major assistance in the form of trail boats, the coast guard, food support, local people along the way, etc.

good luck to both parties and let's hope Mr. Jones doesn't have to be rescued at sea. That would "Extremely" suck
